1. Q: What are the dates of the Buffalo International Film Festival? A: The exact dates for BIFF are not yet set. The Advisory Committee members meet regularly to discuss the many planning and funding issues that must be resolved before the exact dates are announced. (February 15, 2007)

We are currently accepting submissions for Out-Of-Competition screenings only on a year-round basis. (October 2008) SCREENINGS
2. Q: How can I get information about what is happening? A: Please write to Head of Promotion and Marketing at BuffaloFilmFestival (AT) Gmail.Com or CONTACT or MAILING LIST. You will be placed on our Press Release list, answer your questions, and keep you well informed. You can also join the Buffalo Film Festival Yahoo Group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BuffaloFilmFestival This will allow you to receive mailings that are sent to the general public. 3. Q: Can I get an interview with someone from the festival? A: At the present time, no one is available to give interviews. As the dates for the various events of the festival are announced, we will be more than happy to arrange one-on-one interviews with the Director of the Festival and Advisory Board Members subject to their availability. We will be pleased to work with your lead-time requirements.

4. Q: What Press Releases have you sent out? A: Past Press Releases are available in our online archive. ARCHIVE
5. Q: Why are some of the pages on the website blank? A: This is a prototype website. Because it takes many months to be listed in Google and other search engines, a functional website was created for indexing purposes and to convey basic information about BIFF. The website has already been re-designed twice, and a new website is already in the works! (February 15, 2007)
6. Q: What other activities does Buffalo International Film Festival, Inc. oversee?
A: As a 501c3 not-for-profit charity, BIFF has a number of activities in its tax-exempt mission. These include, among others:
- The Buffalo Film Society
- The Buffalo Cinematheque
- The Buffalo Walk of Fame
- The New York State Movie Theater Corridor
- The Digital Nitrate Prize
- How Science Works: The Film and Video Competition
- Professional Filmmaker Workshops
- Western New York Professional Video and Film Directory
We also work closely with many Western New York Charities helping them in their fundraising activities and also supplying them with free and discounted tickets to our events.
BIFF acts a conduit or pass-through organization for film and video makers applying for production and other grants in order to encourage production in the Western New York region.
BIFF believes that only through community cooperation can humanity progress. (November 10, 2008)
7. Q: What is Buffalo International Film Festival, Inc. doing with its Google Grant?
A: In 2008, BIFF was the recipient of a Google Grant. This extremely generous grant, given only to not-for-profits, allows the festival to promote its activities world wide through Google Searches and Google Adwords. On a daily basis BIFF can disply more than 30,000 individual ads for screenings and other presentations. BIFF also devotes nearly a third of its promotional notices to the promotion of the developing film and video production industry in Western New York State through a professional director with listing of working professionals in the various Media crafts. 8. Q: Are Donations to Buffalo International Film Festival Tax Deductible?
A: Buffalo International Film Festival, Inc. is a 501c3 not-for-profit charity with an IRS tax determination. We are registered with New York State and with the NY State Attorney General's office. As of January 2007, any donations to Buffalo International Film Festival, Inc. are fully tax-deductible in accordance with applicable New York State and Federal regulations.
