| Craig Miller's work has been well-known and highly respected since starting his entertainment industry career by doing the marketing for Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back. After three years with George Lucas, he became a sought after consultant, working with Warner Bros., Universal, Disney, Columbia, and others, including creative talents like Steven Spielberg and Jim Henson (The Dark Crystal and Muppets Take Manhattan for Jim Henson) and many other films for Warner Bros., Disney, Universal, Columbia etc.
Ten years as a consultant on how to make film and television projects successful was enough and Miller decided he wanted to get his hands dirty, writing his own projects, with a special eye toward entertaining families and, especially children. (His degrees in Child Development and Social Psychology pointed him that way from the beginning.)
Since then, he was written, developed, and produced well over 150 episodes of television on projects ranging from The Smurfs to GI Joe to Beast Wars to, most recently, Curious George and Trollz (currently airing on PBS and CBS, respectively). Other recent work includes developing and writing animated series for Australia and China.
He's been a guest speaker at events like the International Conference on Television Animation (Positano, Italy), the Annecy Animation Festival (Annecy, France) and the Interactive Games Festival (Edinburgh, Scotland).
He is a member of the Writers Guild of America, the Writers Guild of Canada, and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, among other organizations. He has also lectured on and taught writing at Columbia College, the Art Institute of California, and Woodbury University.
