A.R. Gurney, Playwright, joins Board of Advisors for Buffalo International Film Festival in Buffalo, NY Buffalo, NY / New York, New York The Buffalo International
Film Festival (BIFF) is pleased to announce that A.R. Gurney,
award-winning playwright, author, and educator has joined the Board of
Advisors.
Mr. Gurney, a native of Buffalo, NY who attended Nichols School, has written more than 40 plays including The Dining Room and Buffalo Gal
(which recently played in New York City). Many of his works are set in
his home town. He has also written novels, screenplays and has taught
Humanities at MIT.
In 2006, A.R. Gurney was elected to membership in The American Academy of Arts and Letters.
BIFF
is extremely pleased to have Mr. Gurney's support in the planning of
the Premiere regional film festival in the city which was the location,
in 1896, of the very first movie theater in the world.
Buffalo International Film Festival, Inc. is a 501c3 not-for-profit

activities. These include The Buffalo Film Festival, The Buffalo Film
Society, and The New York State Movie Theater Corridor.
